TCU Linebacker Namdi Obiazor On Butkus Award Preseason Watchlist

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Butkus Award has selected TCU Linebacker Namdi Obiazor to its preseason watch list. Named after football legend Dick Butkus, the award recognizes the nation’s top linebacker. Obiazor, a senior from Eden Prairie, Minn., was All-Big 12 last season and is also on the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List. He has played in all 27 games in the last two seasons, recording 133 tackles.

Morgan Alexander is an Upstate New York native who moved an hour south to attend college. She graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Communications and a minor in Political Science in 2019. She then went on to receive her masters in Broadcast Digital Journalism with a sports communication emphasis from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. After her masters, she returned for a sixth year at Syracuse and received a Certificate of Advanced Study in Intercollegiate Athletic Advising.
