Wings Come Up Short To Dream, 83-78

ATLANTA, GA — The Dallas Wings faced a challenging match on the road against the Atlanta Dream at the Gateway Center Arena. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Wings came up short, losing 83-78 to the Dream.

Former Wings guard Allisha Gray delivered an exceptional performance for the Dream, contributing 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Arike Ogunbowale led the charge for Dallas with an impressive 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. In just her second game with the Wings, Monique Billings showcased her skills with a double-double, recording 20 points and 10 rebounds. Teaira McCown also shone with her second double-double of the season, scoring a season-high 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Despite the disappointment of the loss, Wings Head Coach Latricia Trammell expressed optimism, stating, “The performances that they are doing individually and then in turn as a team, is definitely something we can build on.”

Looking ahead, the Wings will regroup to face the Phoenix Mercury Saturday, May 25 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
