Mavericks Fall To Timberwolves, 119-101

DALLAS, TEXAS — Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks were riding a season high four game win streak going into Thursday’s game with the Western Conference leading Minnesota Timberwolves. Dallas started off extremely strong. Luka Doncic contributed 26 points just in the first half. Ultimately the strong start turned into a not so strong ending as the Mavs were unable to overcome the Wolves throughout the final three quarters, falling short 119-101. The Mavs are now 15-9 so far this season.

Despite the loss, Dončić led all scorers with 39 points, 6 rebounds, and 13 assists. “They’re good in both ways – offense and defense. They have an amazing team. Ant [Anthony Edwards] is one of the best in the league for sure. I think there was one x-factor. Naz Reid – he’s an amazing player and he hurt us today. He’s been hooping,” said Dončić.

Dallas head coach Jason Kidd stated in press the conference, “look, sometimes you just have one of those nights. But we have to look at the positive, we had a great game and some great looks.”

The Mavs will hit the road to face the Portland Trailblazers this Saturday night December, 16th. Tip off is set for 8pm CT.
