FRISCO, TX – The Dallas Cowboys officially signed Jason Peters to the practice squad on Monday morning after a weekend filled with physicals, front office meetings, and negotiations.
Mike McCarthy told us on Wednesday morning before practice that he is very excited to have Peter’s join the team.
“What a joy he has been since our first conversation”, McCarthy said. “Tyler (Smith) and Terence (Steele) are excited and have been picking his brain since he has been here. Since he has been here he has been an excellent addition.”
McCarthy told us that Peters is very excited to be here and to finish his career in Texas, where he is originally from, in his home state.
Peters first practice was Monday afternoon. He participated in individual team drills and did well getting into the swing of things with his new teammates.
