ARLINGTON, TEXAS — This upcoming football season will be the first time since 2000, the TCU Horned Frogs be without Gary Patterson as head coach. Sonny Dykes who was previously the head coach at SMU has taken over the reins. Dykes says the Quarterback position is an ongoing question but throughout summer camp it’s become more clear who will get the first string spot. (Max Duggan or Chandler Morris).

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke to media during Big 12 Media Days on Thursday. Sarkisian stated the Longhorn offense is looking good, “We have a new offensive line that I’m very impressed with since summer workouts started. We will see how they do in fall camp and re-access if needed too. Sarkisian also commented that he has not yet picked a set quarterback for the upcoming season, but he has two quality guys that he believes in and trusts.

Oklahoma took center stage at on day 2 of Big 12 Media Days. The Brent Venables era begins. Venables says he’s looking to keep the Sooners as a favorite moving forward and has a clear vision of improvement for the program.
