DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Wings secured a win Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Sparks with a final score of 92-82.

The first half of the game was a bit of a tug a war. Offense on both sides of the ball were playing intensely and couldn’t keep a steady rhythm. It was until the second half that Dallas started feeling confident and playing their game. The wings were able to come out on top and are now 8 -8 in the series.

Wings were lead by Arike Ogunbowale with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Along with Marina Mabrey who had 21 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Marina Mabrey was asked if there was a change in mindset going into the second half, she commented, “words are powerful, we just kept saying to each other don’t let them get back in front, we’re not going to walk on eggshells in this game, keep pushing. We then made a positive change and won the game.”

Dallas will be back at home on Thursday, June 23rd to take on the Indiana Fever.
