Former Dallas Cowboys RB Marion Barber III Dies At 38

FRISCO, TX – Dallas Cowboys former running back Marion Barber III was found dead in his apartment by police in Frisco on Wednesday. The cause of his death is currently unknown and not public. He was 38 years old. 

“We are heartbroken by the tragic death of Marion Barber III. Marion was an old-school hard-nose football player who ran with the will to win every down.” The Cowboy’s told us in  a statement they provided later Wednesday night. 

Barber was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2005. He spent the majority of his NFL career with Dallas. He was in the NFL for seven years and spent six of them with the Cowboys. He spent his final season with the Chicago Bears. 

During his time with the Cowboys he received a Pro-Bowl appearance in 2007.
