Dallas Wings Host First Home Game Of the Preseason

ARLINGTON, TX — The Wings are coming off from a busy week prior to today’s game.
Following a win against the Chicago sky last Monday, the team has prepared themselves for this
upcoming season.

Coach Vickie Johnson and her staff have made a slight change to their roster after waiving
Chelsea Dungee, Jazz Bond, and Morgan Bertsch. Dungee was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021
WNBA draft, averaging 22.3 points during his senior year at Arkansas. Bond, a forward out of
North Florida, was the 31st pick overall in the 2022 WNBA draft. The team announced Saturday
April 29th, 2022 that they have decided to part ways with 3rd round pick on the 2019 WNBA
draft, Morgan Bertsch.

In return, The Wings have welcomed back center Awak Kuier and Kayla Thornton. Both Kuier
and Thornton returned from Italy and joined the team Sunday for the first time this season.
Dallas will host their first home game of the preseason against Indiana Fever here at the College
Park Center in Arlington, Texas. Tip off will begin at 1:00pm CST.
