FORT WORTH, TX – TCU (16-7) lost to Iowa State (17-9) 54-51 in Fort Worth. It was sloopy basketball tonight as both teams were shooting bad from the floor.

The First half was ugly to watch for both teams. They combined for just 17-of-55 shots. TCU went into the half with a two point advantage and they were led by Farabello who had six at the half.

Eddie Lampkin led for the Frogs tonight with a career-high 16 points and nine rebounds. Lampkin shot 8-of-9 from the floor.

The game was down to the wire. Iowa State had a one-point lead with three seconds remaining. The Cyclones came out on top tonight and this was a must win game for TCU as they make a run for the tournament.

Mike Miles came up short today with 0 field goals, that really hurt TCU as he is their top producer.

“I have high hopes for this team, but we’re certainly not reaching them right now”, Head Coach Jamie Dixon told us post game about tonight’s disappointing loss.

The Frogs haven’t lost back-to-back games until tonight. They have No. 7 Bsylor on Saturday in Baylor and they have to figure out a way to win before or they will be looking at three consecutive losses.

Tip off is at 11 AM.
