FORT WORTH, TX – For his first career double-double, Eddie Lampkin completed the game with 12 points and 12 rebounds to help TCU defeat Austin Peay 68-51 Monday.

TCU (5-1) started the game strong, shooting 42% from the floor in the first half and finishing the game with over 50 rebounds for the second time this season.

Mike Miles also looked sharp, leading the Frogs in scoring with 12 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

Austin Peay (3-3) forward, Caleb Stone-Carrawell led the Governors with 14 points.

Head Coach Jamie Dixon said post-game that offensively, the guys are shooting well, but are lacking in layups and free throws.

“I think we missed a lot of layups, and we have to shoot better from the line than we did today, too,” said Dixon. “I think for the most part, guys getting in the gym on a consistent basis and practicing will help that.”

The Horned Frogs will take on Oral Roberts at Schollmaier Arena Thursday at 7 p.m.
