Rangers Split Short Series With Diamondbacks

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 tonight in the finale of a short two-game series at Globe Life Park in Arlington, TX.

Shin-Soo Choo was solid for the Rangers as he went 3-for-4 with three singles, as well as Jurickson Profar who had a triple, double and batted in 2 runs. But the rest of the Rangers lineup couldn’t get their bats going as they went a combined 3-25 on the night.

Arizona’s LHP Patrick Corbin (10-4) gets the win in his first career appearance against the Rangers.

Texas has dropped 6 of its last 10 games and is now 1-1 during this 6-game, 7-day homestand.

The Rangers will have the day off tomorrow before their four-game home series against the Los Angeles Angels begins on Thursday evening when RHP Ariel Jurado takes the mound.
