The Dallas Cowboys Select OT Connor Williams In The 2nd Round

FRISCO, TEXAS – With the 50th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Texas offensive tackle Connor Williams. Williams has quick speed, which leads him to perfect position in pass protection. He is a versatile athlete that can also be dominant at the guard position. He impressed immediately at Texas and became the first Longhorn on record to start the season opener as a left tackle. He became a Freshman-All-American and will go down in Longhorn history as one of the most beloved offensive lineman.

Now, Williams will have a chance to make an instant impact in the O-Line for the Cowboys. When asked about his placement with the Cowboys as he walked across the stage he stated, “ It is a dream. I am home. It is America’s Team and it is amazing. I am coming in everyday. I will sleep in the stadium. I want to represent the Cowboys.”

Williams choked up when he got the phone call from Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones telling him he is now a Dallas Cowboy. The fulfillment of his dreams and goals came to life today as he was handed his own jersey for the silver and blue. Congratulations Connor Williams and welcome to the Cowboys!
