Although there are similarities of having the same name as New Jersey Hall of Fame boxer Frankie Blair; Frankie Blair, the ‘actress’ is definitely ‘punching’ her way as an up-and-coming starlet in the entertainment industry.

No relation at all to the boxer, Blair was named after her mother’s aunt; a promise her mother made to her aunt before her aunt’s passing.  Hailing from the Corpus Christi area, Blair decided early on she wanted to be an entertainer.  At a young age, Blair began to get her feet wet in a variety of activities including, tap, ballet and jazz at Cinderella School of Dance, just to name a few.  “I didn’t have an idea of what area I wanted to concentrate on, but I knew I wanted to be involved in the entertainment industry in some capacity,” says Blair.

Blair relocated to Dallas when she began high school, and found herself shying away from the arts to concentrate on sports, where she excelled in Volleyball, Basketball, and Tennis. But after graduation, Blair decided to once again, get back in the entertainment industry by becoming a Wardrobe Stylist, for several years.  Not 100% convinced that she would love styling for a long-term career choice, Blair decided to give acting a shot.

Blair being dedicated to hone her craft is currently training at KD Studio Actors Conservatory. She continues to create a buzz for herself as she is set to star as ‘Candy Boudreaux’ in the upcoming feature, “Sideline Confessions”, scheduled for release summer 2012.   “I’m excited with this role, because the film is a ‘trilogy’ series and it gives me an opportunity to grow and mature the character with each film,” explains Blair.  Other projects in the works includes the psychological thriller, “Inside Luck”, where she will play the female lead “Jacquelyn.” As well as suspense drama, “Disturbing Intentions” as supporting lead “Mia.”

When not busy acting, Blair spends her time Hosting or serving as Special Entertainment Correspondence to a variety of events as well as voice-over work for local companies in the Dallas area. She is set to Host, Dallas Gold Film Festival, at the end of January 2012.

If you were to ask Frankie Blair where she’d like to see her career in a few years, she’d probably respond with a laugh saying, “I’m packing a ‘mean-punch’ and I’m looking to knock out my way through Hollywood with definitely some victories under my belt”.  To keep up with all the update on Frankie Blair, visit her personal fan page at www.facebook.com/iamFrankieBlair.
