Atlanta, GA (AHN) – The Atlanta Falcons pulled off a huge deal several days before this year’s draft, landing 10-time Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez in a trade with Kansas City Thursday. The Falcons shipped their second-round pick in the 2010 draft to nab Gonzalez, a 12-year veteran who holds the all-time records for touchdowns (76), receptions (916) and receiving yards (10,940) at his position. “Tony brings a new dynamic to the Falcons offense and we are very pleased that we were able to make the trade with Kansas City,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said on the team’s website (www.atlantafalcons.com).
