Lauren Conrad is launching a new fashion range. The ‘Hills’ star – who recently announced she is resting her high-end clothing line – has announced details of LC Lauren Conrad, a range of casual wear which will be sold in Kohl’s department store from October. She said: “It is a California chic line. It is a little more casual. They are basically trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere. “My family has always shopped at Kohl’s, so I’ve always known about them and I think that they do a really great job.” Explaining why she decided to rest her Lauren Conrad Collection in favour of the more affordable range – which may expand to include shoes, jewellery, bags, underwear and sleepwear – the 23-year-old star admitted it was a difficult decision. Lauren, who recently announced she is leaving the American reality TV show which made her name, told Us Weekly: “It was just kind of a battle I had because I wanted to do a higher-end line – I wanted to do a contemporary line – but I was also very aware that the reason I was able to do it at such a young age was because of fans that have supported the show and have supported me. “So this was my way of being able to still do what I love and work with a great company and also make it accessible to the fans that made it possible in the first place.” A spokesperson for Kohl’s said they are delighted with the collaboration.
