Terrell Owens Inducted to 2018 Hall Of Fame

FRISCO, Texas – Terrell Owens was voted into the 2018 Professional Football Hall Of Fame in his third year of eligibility. The former wide receiver for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bengals, and Bills was nominated the past two years but did not get a knock on his door. Owens finally has his place in Canton, Ohio and will receive the infamous gold jacket.

Over the course of Owens’ 16-year career, he accumulated 1,078 career receptions, 15,934 yards, 156 touchdowns, along with a 6 time Pro-Bowl selection. There has been controversy-surrounding Owens over his professional career and if he should be selected into the Hall of Fame based off his attitude and excessive touchdown celebrations on the field.

Owens had contentious relationships in locker rooms for the teams he played for, and with the media that interviewed him. However, the 48 members of the Selection Committee and eligible players and coaches who nominated Owens, felt his statistics and talent speaks for itself. Third times a charm and Terrell Owens is now written in history alongside legends in the game of professional football.
