DALLAS, Texas – Orlando was looking to break its loosing streak, but could not get it done tonight against Dallas, as they fall to the Mavericks 114-99 in the American Airlines Center. The Magic have now lost the last 14 out of 15 games.
Orlando’s leading scorer all season, Aaron Gordon, came off the bench tonight due to violating team rules. He came in about half way through the first quarter when the Magic was down 17-9.
Orlando eventually rallied as they took the lead 48-43 heading into halftime. The Mavericks came out the 2nd half and outscored the Magic 12 in the 3rd quarter and 8 in the 4th to regain and hold onto the lead for the rest of the game.
Gordon finished the game with 19 points and 8 rebounds. D.J. Augustin, also coming off the bench, finished the game with 18 points and 5 assists. The Magic (12-29) now head out to Milwaukee as they will face the Bucks tomorrow evening.
