DALLAS, Texas – The Dallas Mavericks hoped to move forward after an upset lost 125-122 Wednesday against the defending Champion Golden State Warriors.
Mavericks veteran swingman Wesley Matthews waste no time in the 1st quarter with another triple. Mavs leading scorer Harrison Barnes and Wesley Matthews had 19 points combined. Entering the second quarter the Mavs trailed 34-28.
Rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. hit a jumper over Kris Dunn making the score 51-50 with less than 3 mins before half.
Coming into the 3rd Dirk Nowitzki swished a 3-pointer. Matthews was on fire after his fifth triple of the game. Mavs picked up there intensity shooting 54.5 % from the field and at the end of the 3rd leading 88-80
The Chicago Bulls outshot the Mavs for the game 56.4 percent to 53.3 perfect and with 8 lead changes and 4 ties the Mavs fell short to the Bulls 127-124.
