DALLAS, Texas – The Dallas Mavericks ended their 4 game winning streak against the defending NBA Champion Golden State. Dallas knew a head of time in order to win they would have to stop the fast break points. The Mavs tied the game twice in the final minute but the Warriors came back both times. Just with 3.0 seconds left of the game Steph Curry hit a wide open 3-pointer which gave Golden State a victory of 125-122.
Wesley Matthews led the Mavericks with 22 points including seven 3 pointers. Coming off the bench Dwight Powell tied his career-high with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. Rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. pushed the tempo in the first half and developed open shots.
Dallas will return home and host the Chicago Bulls Friday at the American Airlines Center.
