MAVS COME UP SHORT AGAINST THE NETS

The Mavericks were within one midway through the fourth quarter, but the Nets used a 9-2 spurt to build an eight point advantage as Dallas falls to Brooklyn 109-104. Mavericks forward Harrison Barnes posted team highs of 17 points and eight rebounds to go along with a game high tying six assists and game high tying two steals. Six Mavs players scored in double digits for Dallas in the loss: Harrison Barnes (17), Maxi Kleber (16), Dwight Powell (14), Devin Harris (11), Dirk Nowitzki (10) and Dennis Smith Jr. (10). Nets forward DeMarre Carroll totaled a game high 22 points.
