Derek Fisher, who was signed by Dallas as a free agent on Thursday made his Mavericks debut against the Pistons on Saturday and started as the Mavericks beat the Detriot Pistons 92-77. Mavericks guard O.J. Mayo had a game-high 27 points and Elton Brand scored 17 points.
