Dallas Mavericks Lamar Odom Named As Olympic Team Finalist

Dallas Mavericks Lamar Odom is among  20 finalists named for the 2012 U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team. The Dallas Mavericks acquired forward Lamar Odom, a 2012 second round draft pick and other second round considerations in 2013 from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a protected first round draft pick.

Odom (6-10, 230) is a two-time NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year. The 12-year veteran holds career averages of 14.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 829 career games (678 starts) with the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and Lakers.

The official 12-man U.S. Olympic team roster will be announced later this year.
