Takiyah Wallace

Smart, charismatic and funny, TaKiyah is D210’s “In Your Town” segment host. Born in Los Angeles, TaKiyah’s family relocated to Texas early in her childhood. Being the daughter of a former dancer, TaKiyah grew up around a family of characters who loved the “spotlight”. It’s no wonder that the acting bug soon hit her as she began acting in school and church plays.

After high school TaKiyah took the academic route and went on to the University of North Texas earning a Bachelors Degree, and then later a Master’s Degree from Texas Christian University. Now that the “book worm part” of her life is done, she’s moving on to the “fun” and “for the love of it” part.

TaKiyah has had the opportunity to lend her voice and likeness in marketing tools of such esteemed companies as Dickie’s American Apparel, Ford Motor Company, and La-Z-Boy. She can also be seen in various episodes of the acclaimed children’s television show Barney & Friends, and several music videos.

When she’s not acting, TaKiyah can be found teaching Gifted Education, and Drama classes at a local elementary school, writing, and reading.
