Brooks sells out his first 20 show in Las Vegas in within hours. At dllrrs100-plus per ticket, the newly unretired Garth Brooks had no trouble at all selling out the available shows of his upcoming extended stint in Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 24, the first day tickets went on sale. According to a report from The Associated Press, the Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter can rest easy when it comes to living up to his top-selling American act of the 20th century in 2009 and beyond, thanks to the fact he was able to move 20 shows’ worth of tickets–that’s dllrrs125 per seat in a venue that seats about 1,500 per show–in under five hours. Although Brooks questioned whether fans would flock to see him at the Wynn Las Vegas as they once did following his self-imposed, nine-year retirement, clearly such is indeed the case.[
