Nicole Richie launching fashion label

Nicole Richie is launching her own womens wear label.  The reality TV star – who already has her own jewellery line, House of Harlow 1960, and has created a range of maternity clothes for Pea in a Pod – will debut her creations next spring, which will consist of contemporary woman and baby clothing.

The line will be named Winter Kate – taking inspiration from daughter Harlow’s middle names – and will feature 37 new pieces including chiffon tops, long slip dresses, jackets, and vests that will be available at most major US department stores.

Speaking about her new range, Nicole said: “It feels as though I’ve always been working on this collection, but officially I started putting it together in early 2009. Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”

Earlier this year, it was revealed Nicole is launching a footwear range.

The mother-of-two signed a deal with California-based Creative Brand Group and manufacturers Rick and Brian Cytrynbaum, who already own Modern Vintage shoes.
