PITTSBURGH Cleveland’s Kaluka Maiava received significant playing time at linebacker after D’Qwell Jackson left in the second half with an unspecified shoulder injury, and recorded six tackles plus a forced fumble in the Browns’ 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Maiava, a 2005 graduate of Baldwin High School and rookie fourth-round draft pick out of Southern California, had all his tackles in the second half. Before Sunday, his role was on special teams he had four tackles and a fumble recovery on kick coverage.
