Mavericks blow out Pistons

In front of 17,555 fans at the American Airline Center Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks played their best basketball of the preseason as they beat the Detriot Pistons 113-88, extending their preseason record to 3 wins and 1 loss.

Jason Terry led all scorers with 21 points and Dirk Nowitzki contributing 15 .

With the Mavericks leading 56-50 at halftime, they opened up the 2nd half by extending their lead to 14 points with strong play off the bench by Drew Gooden (16 points) and Kris Humphries (14 points).

Josh Howard and Shawn Marion both missed the  game  with injuries.
