MTV’s New Series: Valemont

MTV has teamed up with Verizon Wireless to create a new mystery series that will have its viewers on the edge of their seats. The series takes place at Valemont University , a place for the privileged and the powerful. On the surface, Valemont is like any other university, but something is different, something is strange… especially with the students. The main character, Sophie, is searching for her brother (a Valemont student) who was recently thought to have been murdered. Or was
he? The only piece Sophie has left of her brother is his phone. She decides to get to the bottom of this mystery by using clues from his cell and by attending his school under a fake identity. This will not be your typical mystery story. Look out for a huge plot twist that will be revealed during the course of the show.

Two new Valemont episodes (2-3 min each) will air Tuesdays on MTV starting September 29th between The Hills and The City. Be sure to tune in from 10-11pm on MTV and head to MTV.com or Verizon V CAST video service to get in on more Valemont action.

Verizon has also launched a website to support the show at ValemontU.com , a mock university site where student activities will take place. Registered users will receive a “University Visitor’s Pass” in the form of a flash-based mobile phone application. They will then use the application to contact actual characters – students and faculty – to obtain “clues,” complete “tasks,” and eventually unlock the mystery behind Valemont University and its complex cast of characters.
