Project Runway Returns August 20

After a long hiatus due to the show’s legal battle, Project Runway finally announces the 16 new designers slated to compete in the new season, premiering August 20. The show went into limbo after NBC Universal (which owns Bravo) sued the Weinstein Company after its reported $150 million deal with Lifetime for “Project Runway.” The parties settled their dispute in April, months after the final Bryant Park finale had already been filmed. Project makes a major move to Lifetime Television from its original home on Bravo, but you’ll still have familiar faces: host/judge Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn and judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.
I have been an avid Project Runway Fan. I was so disappointed to hear that Bravo was not going to continue the show. I am so glad it will still be on another channel.
The Fashion Show was a total disaster. The hosts were very posturing and there was no depth to the show as in Project Runway. It just seemed terribly juvenile and opposed to Project Runway which is very classy and professional.
